What is Kiklos?

At Kiklos we aim to foster our participants’ capacity for deep attention while building skills in written and oral expression and communication.

Before diving into each canonical text, Kiklos provides a brief historical context. This allows participants to reflect on the text, its author, and its original audience. Please note that Kiklos is not history course!

Participants are not expected to read the works from cover to cover, though they are welcome to do so. Key sections of the texts will be highlighted in advance. Kiklos will provide electronic copies of all works included in the capsules.

Our sessions are built around the exchange of questions and ideas, inviting readers to delve deeply into the texts, relate them to their own contexts, and establish connections between different works.

Kiklos neither seeks nor offers “correct answers.” Instead, the purpose is to engage with these canonical works as if they were museum pieces, allowing ourselves to be immersed in the textual artifacts of human experience.

The intellectual exercises we offer at Kiklos will help you find your voice in any context and express it with confidence.
